The safeguarding of children in our church life is of the first importance.
Church needs to be a place where children and young people can grow and flourish and the Diocese of Oxford has well-developed and thought through Policies and Procedures on the safe-guarding of children and young people.
As a Church we have implemented those policies and procedures, annually check that we are still following them properly and revise and change our practice in line with changes in Diocesan Policy.
It is impossible to entirely eliminate risk but we believe that we are doing all that we can and should to minimise it. If you have any concerns in this area, please contact the relevant person on the People
It is the legal responsibility of the PCC to fulfil its duty of care towards children during worship and in all church-sponsored activities, to implement the House of Bishops' Child Protection Policy and provide a safe environment for children, young people and volunteers
Oxford Parish Child Protection Policy
This policy is agreed annually by the PCC and is displayed on our church noticeboard at the back of the church.
