Caring for God's Acre

Love your Burial Ground week incorporating Churches Count on Nature

5th to 13th June 2021

A photo of St Michaels churchyard showing several headstonesThe Living Churchyard Group is taking part in this event and hope to encourage parishioners to get to know their churchyard better: to learn about the plants and animals and the graves and some of the interesting people buried here - an arctic explorer, an editor of The Times, politicians and many more.  There will also be a new prayer circuit focusing on creation.  Please take part and bring your friends.  Self-guide leaflets will be available from the Annexe door during the above dates and any feedback on interesting plants, insects or other animals would be gratefully received.  Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear; there are uneven surfaces.  Children must be with a responsible adult.

There will be two special events:-

Booking is not required for either event but social distancing should be kept.
